Check access before repeating a run

Amy belongs to the Bible / three Iron Crosses route, not the Aurifer choice between the two main finales. Follow Ending 3’s rituals and entrance if you have not reached the church. Published guides report completing both main endings and starting a new game before the Bible appears.

Church phase: leave room to change sides

In iampanax’s recorded encounter from 5:10:27, Julia fights alongside John. Amy lunges across the room and summons additional enemies. Her attacks and the summons can occupy different parts of your escape path, so clear the nearby threat before committing to another attack on her.

  1. Move out of the lunge line instead of chasing the moving body.
  2. Deal with a summon that blocks your next retreat.
  3. Attack during a recovery opening, then release the attack stance to move.
  4. Recheck Amy’s position after she relocates; do not continue swinging at the old spot.

When the doubles surround Julia

An October 23 Steam thread asks whether the real figure has a visual tell. The replies report striking around Julia, including Wrench swings toward all four sides, to interrupt the threat. That is a player-reported response, not a verified rule that a particular color or sprite always identifies the real Amy.

Try a quick sequence of attacks toward the surrounding figures rather than spending the opening looking for an unsupported tell. Reposition once the immediate threat is cleared. If it fails, compare the recorded fight with the exact attack you are seeing; a normal lunge and the surrounding-double pattern need different responses.

Later FAITH-style phase: move between attack windows

When John falls and the encounter changes to a dark pentagram arena, stop using the church furniture as your orientation. Read the moving lines, symbol circles and rising red hazards instead.

Visible stateResponse
Lines moving across the arenaDodge first; do not commit to an approach through them
A clear route toward AmyMove in for a short attack while avoiding the circles
Symbol circles about to disappearRetreat; do not stay for an extra swing
Summons crowd your escapeClear the immediate obstacle during an opening, then resume the boss cycle

The approach-and-retreat timing comes from players discussing this phase. No frame-perfect dodge time, fixed number of rounds or single permanently safe corner is established here.

Retry checks and achievement routing

ProblemChange on the next attempt
You are hit while choosing a doubleTry the reported quick attacks around Julia; do not wait for an unconfirmed visual tell
You reach Amy but die trying to leaveShorten the attack window and retreat before the circle transition
Summons trap you during an approachClear the retreat path before another boss attack
A victory has not registered Ending 3Let the post-fight scene and ending finish, then check VIVUS EX MORTIBUS

Do Wrench Queen on a full main-ending run. An October 21 Steam thread reports that finishing Ending 3 with the Wrench does not award that challenge. Keep this hidden route separate from your Wrench Queen plan. A local checklist mark records what you select; it cannot confirm game-side weapon flags.

Finish the route and check the reward

After the victory, let the church scene and ending play. Guides associate this clear with VIVUS EX MORTIBUS. The ending’s inventory prompt and the Golden Cross on a later new game are reported rewards; the cross is not an item this guide requires you to possess before fighting Amy. Return to the ending selector to plan the next unfinished route.
