Glass sound
Tenebris Somnia: Bar Glass Sound Puzzle & USB Cable
Find all four bottles, compare the bell with the giant glass pitcher and adjust its liquid to release the USB Cable without copying a random bottle code.
Reach the bar and collect four bottles
Use the blue Triangular Stone at the symbol door left of the apartment building's third-floor elevator. The door leads to the street and bar. This follows the early TV, production-company and candle progression in the walkthrough.
| Bottle stop | Where to search |
|---|---|
| Outside | On the street to the left before entering the bar |
| Tables | Inside the bar, on a table |
| Counter | Behind the bar |
| Bathroom | In the bar bathroom |
Collect all four before testing combinations. The bottle labels identify the items you are using; they are not a universal answer sequence. On the street visit, also check Copper Star S1 if you are collecting the six stars.

Match the bell and pitcher
- Interact with the bell at the counter and listen to its tone. This is your reference.
- Stand beside the large pitcher and use a Bottle from the inventory to add its liquid.
- Strike the pitcher with the Wrench to hear its current tone. Compare it with the bell rather than judging the liquid's appearance alone.
- Change the liquid combination and test again. The official guide notes that an empty Bottle can remove liquid, so an unsuccessful attempt does not require restarting the playthrough.
- When the tones match, return to the bell and ring it again. The glass cracks or shatters. If it has only cracked, finish breaking it with a Wrench strike, then pick up the USB Cable.
Keep a short note of the combination you just tested, so you can undo one change at a time. Listen to the bell again whenever you lose the reference tone. Avoid copying a fill level, a fixed number of pours or another save's bottle labels as the answer.
| Action | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Ring the bell | The target tone |
| Strike the pitcher | The tone of your current liquid combination |
| Add or remove liquid | A new combination to compare |
| Ring the bell after matching | Whether the glass releases the cable |
If the glass will not break
| Problem | Next check |
|---|---|
| You cannot try a different combination | Collect the outside and bathroom bottles as well as those in the main room |
| A guide's combination does not work | Compare tones on your own save; the bottle solution is randomized |
| You hear no change from merely looking at the pitcher | Strike it to hear its current tone after using a bottle |
| The tones seem right but nothing happens | Ring the bell again to test the match |
| The glass cracked but the cable is still trapped | Finish the broken vessel with the Wrench and collect the item |
| You have USB Cable but the phone remains off | Obtain USB Adapter and combine them into USB Charger |
The published official guide describes the bell's success as shattering the glass; the linked written walkthrough also describes a finishing Wrench hit after cracking. In either case, USB Cable in the inventory is the reliable completion check.
Use the cable and continue
The cable alone is not the charger. Take the film-set stair route on Floor 1 for the USB Adapter, combine it with USB Cable, then return to Ivan's phone in the third-floor study. Use USB Charger near the phone and outlet, and read the projector-lock clue recorded in the Old Book.
Resume the first film and projector route. If you are pursuing Wrench Queen, keep weapon restrictions in mind when visiting the optional Pipe in this same bar bathroom; see the achievement guide.
