Is DEVORA a real movie?

Yes. DEVORA is also a real Argentine short film. ReConectados' interview feature connects the short to the film made by the fictional Iván inside Tenebris Somnia. Its real directors are Andrés Borghi and Iván Rojas; that production credit should not be confused with the character Iván or his performer, Pedro Merlo. ReConectados, October 21.

Cine Nacional's film record lists the short as a 2024 production, with Clara Kovacic and Pedro Merlo in the cast. The record's date identifies the short; it does not date the events in Julia's story.

In the game, film canisters let Julia screen DEVORA in parts. That gives the movie a practical role in progression, as well as connecting it to the characters' film work. Follow the three-canister route if you need the projector sequence. The story analysis discusses the broader relationship without treating the real short's credits as in-world biography.

The five projector-room posters

The reference image shows the wall beside the projector, reached through the Floor 1 theater route and its stairs. It is a different location from the director's office where you assemble the DEVORA poster. Click the image to enlarge the original, then compare the numbered positions.

These matches come from the Steam movie-reference discussion. Carrie was an earlier guess for position 2, not an additional poster. The same thread identifies Possession and Persona in Iván's office, but leaves the middle office poster unresolved. Those office observations concern a separate wall.

Recognizing the artwork does not establish that each film inspired the plot. It also does not supply the changing answers for the TV, photograph or poem puzzles. For gameplay, follow the clue shown in your own game.

Influences confirmed by the director

Borghi names these games in his 80 Level interview: FAITH for the contrasting visual formats; Silent Hill 2 and D no Shokutaku for the opening hook; Resident Evil 1 for exploration and progression; Clock Tower for the look. Those are attributed influences, distinct from identifying a poster.

The ReConectados interview also records FAITH as the initial spark. A resemblance to another film's colors or imagery remains a viewer's comparison unless the creator confirms that particular reference.

The hidden FAITH connection

Reveal the crossover characters and hidden ending

The Bible and three Iron Crosses lead to a church encounter with John and Amy, bringing the FAITH connection into the playable game. This is more explicit than a resemblance between visual styles. The recorded church sequence shows the encounter; the Amy guide explains the fight.

Complete that route for VIVUS EX MORTIBUS. Use the Bible-route checklist for the reported prerequisites and missable rituals. The crossover is an observable encounter; it does not, on its own, make every event in both games part of one officially declared continuity.

What to inspect on a replay

  1. Compare the projector wall with the five numbered designs above.
  2. Keep Iván's office posters separate from the projector-room set.
  3. Revisit DEVORA after learning more about the people who made it inside the story; use the folded ritual discussion if you have finished that section.
  4. Open the hidden-route section only when you are ready for its character reveal.

You can use this page as a reference while keeping the hidden section closed. Film recognition is optional reading, not a required collectible checklist.
